LITFEST & AUTHOR VISIT

Tied in to our Litfest Family Celebration today, we had our Author visit from Bao Phi.  He visited our classroom and read one of his books, A different pond, about a boy that goes fishing with his father.

A couple of our children had questions for the Author.  

Luca: how do you draw the cover?

Fang: Where do you live?

Our  work choice time was short but we found time to start our family drawings.This is the beginning of a self-identity piece that we do in Pre-K. 

  

Valentina inspired some friends to make outfits for their mini me  puppets.  

Our book was another Lois Ehlert, Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf.  A story about growing sugar maple trees and the changes that occur throughout the seasons.  Then we headed to P.E. before ending the morning outside. Those friends that stayed for lunch had bag lunch in the Pre-k room as the cafeteria was being used for the LitFest family celebration. 

 

If you are wondering, where are the pictures of the boys?  They were all inside the house, we couldn't get a good picture of them. There was a lot of hammering going on as they attempted to do some renovations to their home.  Better luck with photos tomorrow.
