Continuing our work with geometric shapes we looked at how many ways we could group these shapes together, identifying shape, color and size. Being able to differentiate whether they are the same or exactly the same.
Games were a popular choice today. We introduced Race to the treasure, a co-operative game where you work together to create a path to the treasure trying to find the path tiles while collecting the keys to open the treasure and keeping away from the ogres.
No Stress chess is another good game. This game teaches the children how the chess pieces move. Only allowing them to move a piece if they pick up a card that corresponds to it.
Mancala is a favorite and easy to learn.

Dress up was busy. Superhero sisters and an witch.
We had a longer outdoor time at the end of the morning but we left time to act out another story. This time we did the' 3 little aliens and the big bad robot', written and illustrated by Austin.
