Two birthdays in a row, we are so lucky! We celebrated Grace's birthday before work choices today and still have 3 more birthdays to celebrate before Spring Break.
Before going to work choice time we met at the blue circle while Mr Billadeau and I acted out playing together and dealing with conflict. Mr. Billadeau wanted to add the Snow White character to the game and I said, "No we can use the unicorn instead." Mr Billadeau sat quietly with a sad face but didn't say anything and I carried on playing.
MS. SMALL: "What did Mr. Billadeau do when I told him the princess couldn't be in the story?"
GRACE:"He was sad."
MS. SMALL:"How did you know?"
LUCA: "He showed us with his face."
MR BILLADEAU:" Is there something I could have done to let Ms. Small know how I felt?"
NOLAN: "Ask, can I be the princess."
MARGOT: Or say, I really wanted to be Snow White."
EVY:"He could say. When you said that it made me feel really bad."
MS. SMALL:"When someone isn't listening to you and you talk to a teacher about it, is it telling or asking for help."
FANG:"Asking for help."
We will continue having conversations about sharing our feelings with our friends leading up to Spring Break.

After work choice time we did a few more animal mindfulness poses. Realizing that some of the poses are harder than others and it might take practice to improve.

Our book today was 'Eye to Eye' by Steve Jenkins giving us a few more animals to add to our brainstorming list which is at ONE HUNDRED AND SIX.
What treat did you eat at Grace's birthday celebration?
Which is the hardest/easiest animal pose?
Can you remember one fact from the book Eye to Eye?
