TO AND FROM

Ms. Fanucchi joined us and taught the class about zydeco music originating from Louisiana.

During work choice time everyone was called over to write a note to a classmate.  I have a jar with containing sticks, and on each stick is a students name.  Everyone picked a name out of the jar and wrote a note to that person.  The minimum requirement was to write TO, and their friends name, FROM, and their name.

Then they could use stickers, stamps, markers etc. to decorate their letter.

We set up a smaller station so the class could continue working on their self-portraits.

Grace, Beatrix and Fang created a train that went through a zoo.  Using their mimi me characters as  zookeepers.

At the end of the morning we brainstormed a few more animals to add to our list.  Our goal is to reach one hundred.  We are at ninety-nine, I think we will make it.

We read 'What do you do with a tail like this?' by Steve Jenkins.  He has written a lot of books about animals that contain unusual and interesting facts.

QUESTIONS
Who did you have to write a letter to?
Can you remember one animal you added to the list today?
Can you remember one of the animals from the book you read?
