Then they listened to a story. The story was about 3 mice that play with paint to escape the cat.
Next Monday we have been invited to a marionette show and Mr Van Bergen (the students call him Mr. VB or Mr V), our middle school woodwork teacher, asked if we wanted to visit his workshop to see how the marionettes are made.
He showed us the stages of making the marionettes head and showed us some instruments that he makes with the older students.
Our students had some great questions and observations, such as:
LUCA: Where do you get all the wood from?
VALENTINA:"My mom says, children cannot touch tools, they are sharp."
Mr Von Bergen answered all our questions and concerns

We had a nice long work choice time today. Even though it was not community day a lot of students chose to play with friends from the other class. This is something we have been encouraging, to help them develop stronger friendships with all of our community.

| Leonard made his own marionette |
I introduced 'Pick up sticks', which helps develop hand eye coordination, pincer grip, and a lot of patience. Fang, Luca and Austin played 3 games.

We read another Steve Jenkins book called 'Actual size'.
