Repairing homes was a theme in other parts of the classroom, Evy, and Margot helped Valentina repair her front door.
We opened one of the watermelons from the Farmer's Market, but before we did we guessed how many seeds we would find inside.

Solvieg: A million
Austin: 100
Evy: 30
Luca: 1000
Fang: one billion
Nolan: 4
Grace: 5
Margot: 1000
Ike: 100
Leonard: 15
Valentina: 10
Beatrix : 6
Only to find it was seedless. Life is full of surprises.
We read Stone soup by Jon J. Muth

FRIDAY - COMMUNITY DAY
Our new outdoor blocks arrived, we had a lot of fun opening all the boxes and finding out what was inside. They inspired many creative ideas.
The children were challenged to help chop up vegetables for stone soup. A lot of our students took the challenge and practiced their chopping skills

The soup was not ready for us to taste, so we will sample it on Monday.
Mr Andrews finished the morning with Storyteller time. This is a special community day event. Instead of reading a story he tells one from his memory, this week he told a Frog and Toad story.
