CREATING STORIES

After reading multiple versions of the 3 little pigs.  The children were  ready to write their own.  We unfortunately didn't manage to get through everyone today but we will finish them next week.  Most of the class stayed with the original idea they had for their story.



We discussed when making a story you need to think about the beginning, the middle and the end.



The beginning is where you introduce your main characters.

The middle is where all the action happens.

The end, how do you want your story to end.



First, they drew the picture for the beginning of the story and dictated the words to me.  Repeating the process for the middle and the end.



We also discussed that they were the Authors and Illustrators of these books, as they were telling me the story, and drawing the pictures.


We ended the morning by reading all of the stories that have been made so far.  Next week we hope to video the children telling their story and then have the children act each others stories out.
