Community Day is always fun but it was so nice to see so many friends from both classes collaborating and working together. in many areas of the room.
We created a wintery tree using beads, glitter glue, ribbons etc. As you can see a lot of the class was eager to help.
On the other side of the room we changed the block city we built last year into a snow city.

Last night I left the water table outside, it did not freeze completely but it was thick enough that the children were able to use it as a ice rink for the animals and little people. Then major excitement, it cracked.
The children explored the cold water finding the jewels hidden at the bottom. The people and animals also fell in, the children soon realized how cold your hands get when you are playing in icy water. BRRR!!!
. A group of students worked hard to make a castle complete with kitchen and bedroom.
Evy was making lemonade for everyone.
Solveig wanted to create a carriage to take her to the ball and Warren decided he wanted to be the horse complete with realistic neighing. They found a piece of string to use as the reins but the horse kept trying to run away.
Our castle would not have been complete with out a Sleeping Beauty or two.
Mailing letters to friends continued, we even made a get well soon card for our friend Nolan.
It was nice to see how happy everyone was to be back at school playing with their friends.

At the end of the morning we finished with singing and dancing to GO NOODLE . The top screen is showing Koo Koo Kangaroo's Cat party and the screen below is showing Cookie Boogie only 2 of many we played. I don't know about the children but I got a good workout.
